What Can I Buy With Climate Vouchers in Singapore?

Quick answer: Climate Vouchers can be used across 12 categories of energy- and water-efficient home products, from air-conditioners to water heaters. 1. What can you buy with Climate Vouchers? (12 eligible categories)

Every eligible household can claim S$400 in Climate Vouchers in total — the original S$300 plus an additional S$100 available from 15 April 2025 . The vouchers can be spent across 12 categories of energy- and water-efficient appliances and fittings :

To be eligible, you need to be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident registered and residing at an HDB flat, or a Singapore Citizen registered and residing at a private residential property .

Vouchers are valid until 31 December 2027 — there’s no need to rush, but there’s also no reason to leave S$400 unused.

2. The two categories you can use at Lighting Hub

LED lights (2-tick and above)

The Climate Vouchers cover 2-tick, 3-tick and 4-tick LED lights on the refreshed energy label. Two things are worth knowing before you shop: LED lights carrying the old round energy label are not eligible (from 1 April 2025 all lamps must carry the refreshed 4-tick label), and some eligible LED lights don’t carry an energy label at all — the official examples are downlights, spotlights and circular tubelights . Because models vary, the programme itself advises shoppers to ask the retailer which specific models are eligible — so tell our team you’re paying with a Climate Voucher and we’ll confirm the model before you buy.

DC ceiling fans

Fans qualify if they run on a DC motor; the official listing specifically excludes DC fans fitted with a non-LED light kit . If the fan you’re considering has an integrated light, it’s worth confirming with us that the light kit is LED before you plan to redeem your voucher against it.

3. Where to redeem: currently only our New World Centre (Jalan Berseh) showroom

Lighting Hub is a participating retailer under the Climate Friendly Households Programme, registered for the LED lights and DC fans categories. Right now, only one of our branches can process Climate Voucher redemptions: New World Centre (Jalan Berseh), at 1 Jalan Berseh, #01-04A, #01-05 New World Centre, 209037 .

That means if you’re at one of our other showrooms and want to use a Climate Voucher, we can still help you pick the right products — the redemption itself just needs to happen at our New World Centre (Jalan Berseh) branch. Do note the vouchers can only be scanned in person at the till; they can’t be applied to an online checkout .

4. How to claim and spend your vouchers

1. Go to go.gov.sg/cv-claim and select your voucher campaign.
2. Log in with Singpass — only one household member needs to do this.
3. You’ll get an SMS from “gov.sg” with a link to your vouchers (starting with voucher.redeem.gov.sg).
4. The $300 and the $100 are two separate campaigns — repeat the steps above to claim the other one if you haven’t already .

To spend them at a participating retailer such as Lighting Hub New World Centre:

1. Bring proof of the address you used to claim (NRIC or a recent utility bill) — the address on it has to match the address shown on your voucher.
2. Select the voucher denomination you want to use in the app and tap “Show voucher.”
3. Show the QR code to the cashier at checkout.

If you’re using vouchers from both campaigns in one purchase, show them to the cashier one campaign at a time.

5. Quick checklist before you shop

• Check the energy label on your chosen LED light — it needs 2 ticks or more, on the refreshed label (old round labels don’t qualify).
• Downlights, spotlights and circular tubelights often carry no energy label at all — these can still be eligible, so ask us to confirm the model rather than hunting for a label.
• If your ceiling fan has a built-in light, confirm the light kit is LED.
• Plan to redeem at our New World Centre (Jalan Berseh) showroom — other branches can help you choose, but can’t process the redemption.
• Have your proof of address and your Singpass-linked voucher link ready.
• Vouchers are valid until 31 December 2027 — no rush, but don’t let them lapse.
